Commercial Oil Tank Installation

APS replaced a failing commercial tank at Marshall Motor Group with a new 5,000-litre oil tank and two-pipe supply, using temporary storage to avoid downtime.
Marshall Motor Group’s existing steel oil tank at the PDI Centre had rusted through and required complete replacement before it became a major environmental and operational risk. The biggest challenge for this oil tank replacement in Berkshire was keeping the commercial automotive site running — heating had to stay available so the PDI centre could continue daily operations throughout the project.
APS Plumbing Services completed a commercial oil tank installation in Berkshire for Marshall Motor Group’s PDI Centre. To minimise downtime, we first installed a temporary oil storage tank so the centre could keep working while the new 5,000-litre commercial oil storage tank was sourced and prepared. Once the tank arrived, our commercial heating engineers constructed a new reinforced concrete base, excavated a trench for new underground commercial oil pipework, and installed a complete two-pipe oil system feeding the site’s high-level oil heaters. The failed steel tank was safely isolated and removed, and the new installation was commissioned as a fully OFTEC-compliant oil tank installation.
A temporary oil tank kept the Marshall Motor Group PDI Centre operational while the permanent system was prepared — avoiding disruption to commercial automotive workflows. The completed two-pipe oil system continually circulates fuel so the supply line stays full of fresh oil and air is automatically removed from the pipework. That delivers more reliable operation over longer runs to high-level oil heaters and helps prevent common fuel supply faults on commercial oil heating systems. The whole project was completed safely by commercial oil heating specialists to current OFTEC regulations.
A new 5,000-litre oil tank installation is now in service with a reliable two-pipe oil supply for the site’s high-level heaters, a new concrete base and underground pipework, and improved long-term fuel delivery. The business remained operational throughout. The fully OFTEC oil tank installation was completed safely and professionally in just three days by APS commercial heating engineers in Berkshire.
